Yahoo’s new Research head..
Yahoo Inc. has named Prabhakar Raghavan to head Yahoo Research, he’s a former IBM researcher.
Raghavan Joined Yahoo this July, he will lead research in Search, information navigation, social media, community, personalization, and mobility and other Key Areas of Yahoo.
Yahoo Research has facilities in the California cities of Berkeley, Pasadena and Sunnyvale.
Raghavan was Seniour vice president and chief technology officer at Verity Inc., he also former head of the computer science principles department at IBM’s Almaden Research Center.
